Who we are

By creating EXPLORE, Fabrice Hossa illustrated his passion for conservation and understanding more about our oceans. As the son of an ocean lover working in the marine industry since 40 years ago, Fabrice Hossa feels very close to the marine world and decided to protect it.

In love with life, art and nature, in 2017, Fabrice was convinced that protecting the environment and wildlife was a priority. As many people across the globe, he was worried about the impact of climate change. Several scientific studies have shown that when people, especially those living in developed countries but more generally including all countries, wish to reduce their carbon footprint, there are a few key « high-impact » actions they can take : we must eat less meat and dairy, swap cars for bikes, take fewer flights, and ditch gas boilers at home. It is critical that we all reduce our carbon footprint and to achieve such an objective, changing our lifestyles is the only way to meet targets.

Ever since I was a little girl, sky and oceans have been my elements. Through my education, I went closer to the sky in achieving my engineer degree in aerospace sciences. My passion for airplanes led me to obtain my glider licence at 16 years old, and my passion for oceans guided me to become a diver at 12 years old (I’m now Advanced/Rescue Scuba Diver). As the diver use water to evolve in the vastness of the oceans, and the glider pilot use the air to progress in the immensity of the sky, EXPLORE will use both elements to lead amazing expeditions around the world.

The sea always took a central part of my life. My first memories were on a boat on which I spent all my weekends as a child. I have always been sensitive to the protection of the environment through my education and today it is a crucial issue in which we must all engage our responsibility. I decided to get involved both in my personal life via my lifestyle and the Free Spirit, as well as in my professional life as an IT consultant by contributing to CSR projects. I am beyond thrilled to me part of this amazing adventure that is Explore.
